Dublin artist Fault & Fold launches innovative exhibition in aid of homeless charity

A new, innovative and exciting art exhibition launches in Lucky’s in The Liberties on 10th September 2020 from Dublin artist E.Kelly, Fault and Fold.

The exhibition runs from September 10th until October 28th, with 100% of all sales going directly to Inner City Helping Homeless charity.

Ed’s work is characterised by bold zones of colour and repetitive, rhythmic patterns. Hard edges meet wandering curves and stark boundaries to shape and inform a very specific visual language and dialogue between recurring abstract elemental motifs drawn from the geology, landscape and folk memory of the rural north-west of Ireland.

Themes and influences include folk memories of loss, departure and impossible distance alongside explorations of the uncanny and the sublime, embedded and hiding in the everyday rural landscape.

This solo exhibition includes 20 hand painted wooden constructions, wall paintings and prints. Speaking ahead of the launch, Ed said: ‘Lucky’s isn’t the usual gallery experience, it’s a very contemporary and supportive space for emerging artists and it’s a vital opportunity for people to view new work in a social space while enjoying time alone or with friends.

The exhibition runs from September 10th until October 28th.

If you’re interested in seeing Ed’s work you can book a table at Lucky’s during this time by going to Luckys.ie subject to all COVID-19 restrictions and guidance or you can see Ed’s work and contact him directly at faultandfold.com/
